Continuing to use a device after accidental deletion can overwrite data that may otherwise be recoverable.
Failing drives
Clicking, repeated disconnections, SMART warnings and computers that suddenly cannot see a drive can indicate hardware failure.
What we will not do
We will not pretend that every failed drive can be recovered with ordinary software. Serious mechanical or electronic failures may need a specialist laboratory.
Recovery media
Recovered data should normally be restored to a different healthy storage device rather than written back onto the suspect source.
